Outlook says that my PST file is read-only and will not import it. Is there anything that I can do about this?

The PST file could be on a read-only or protected path. Use the following steps:

1.

Copy the PST file to your desktop or to your "My Documents" folder.

2.

Right click on the file and select "Properties" from the pop-up menu.

3.

In the pop-up window that appears, un-check (un-tick) the "Read-only" check box (you can find this near the bottom of the window).

4.

Click the OK button to close the window.

5.

Try importing the file again using Outlook.
